What do I do if my window has safety bars outside?Updated 2 years ago
Sometimes, windows have bars on the outside for safety reasons. In order to install July in a window with bars on the outside, you'll need a clearance of at least 14 5/8" between the window and the bars. Otherwise, July won't be able to fit. July's size is about the same as any other A/C on the market, so if July won't fit, chances are no other A/C will either.
If there isn't enough clearance, we recommend trying to find another window in which to place your A/C, if one is available.
